Joanna first started her Sweet Adeline journey in 1979 with the Columbia River Chorus in Vancouver, Washington. Her many travels led her to five choruses throughout Region 24, culminating in her selection as director of Treasure Valley Showtime Chorus in Boise, Idaho from 1999-2001.
Joanna and husband Bob moved to Arizona in 2001 where she joined the Scottsdale Chorus. One of Joanna's greatest achievements was competing at the Sweet Adelines International Convention and Competition in Detroit, Michigan, October 8, 2005, with the Scottsdale Chorus when they won first place honors bringing home the gold.
Joanna has been in numerous quartets, taking first place three times and placing third twice in Regions 21 and 24. She is currently a member of Region 24's "Gold Country Chorus" and "Club 21 Chorus" both of which are Performance and Education Groups offering their talents to the Regions where she has served as President of both groups. In her spare time she gives private voice lessons and coaches quartets.
In addition to her duties as our Certified Director and a quartet singer, this dynamic woman brings excitement and class to our chorus. She is the driving force that motivates us all to be the best we can be. Is it any wonder that under Joanna's leadership, the choruses she has directed have improved in vocal and performance skills, steadily advancing to higher levels?
We look forward to once again welcoming Joanna back to Boise and to the Prospective "Spirit of Boise Chorus" and know that continued improvement and growth under the tutelage and direction of this exceptionally talented woman will take us to great heights.
